Mission Statement

The objective of the St. Louis Police Leadership Organization shall be to advance the moral, social and material standing of the organization by honorable means and the promotion of good will among the general public, the police and the Board of Police Commissioners.

To promote and protect a friendly and fraternal spirit among all police officers of the Police Force of the City of St. Louis and to advance their mutual interest and to generally increase the efficiency of the individual members of the Department as public servants to the Citizens of the City of St. Louis whom they have sworn to protect.

To promote and protect the welfare of the police officers, to provide aid, assistance and defense, financial, legal and otherwise, to all member police officers, and to raise the social, civic and intellectual standing of member officers.

To engage in cultural, civic, educational, charitable, welfare, and social activities which will benefit the interest of the Organization and its members and to generally do anything and everything necessary, expedient or incidental to the furtherance of the goals of the Organization.

To mitigate the hazards of the work of police officers, to advance workable programs for improved working conditions of employment, to further measures of excellence in and for the happiness and equal opportunity with all persons and the moral and spiritual satisfaction for member officers, their dependents, and all people in their public care.

To provide, maintain, manage, and operate a central office and to furnish services to all individuals, groups, or bodies as required to further the aims and purposes of the Organization.

To raise funds by dues, contributions, membership subscriptions, or otherwise.

The Organization is incorporated in the State of Missouri as a not-for-profit professional organization.
